Before The Mark was constructed, the site at 1372 Seymour Street was home to Carlos N’ Buds, a beloved Tex-Mex restaurant (personal favourite of mine!)  in an old gas station/auto repair shop that was a fixture in Vancouver’s dining scene.

After the restaurant closed, the lot became an urban garden through a City of Vancouver initiative.
