New Cambie Corridor Mid-Rise Formed by Stacked Layers That Shift and Slide
A new condominium-townhouse project, located on Cambie Street mid-block between 27th and 28th avenues, is envisioned by Arno Matis Architecture as a “slate block” building inspired by the rock formations of Little Mountain in Queen Elizabeth Park. The building form shifts and slides to accommodate old-growth trees located on the site.
This development will add another 68 homes to the rapidly changing neighbourhood surrounding the Canada Line’s King Edward Station. A 6-storey mid-rise will contain 62 condominiums, ranging from one to three bedrooms. Six 2-storey, 2-bedroom townhomes, separated from the condos by a mews, will line the laneway. Parking for 129 bicycles and 68 vehicles will be provided in two levels of underground.
