Community and Connection
Located at the intersection of Downtown and the West End, Barclay x Thurlow is a dynamic and diverse community hub by Bosa-Kingswood Properties that will bring energy to this growing neighbourhood. Created in partnership with architects Perkins&Will, this mixed-use two-tower project will deliver 365 condominiums, over 600 rental apartments, a 37-space daycare, and ground level retail space for shops and a café with a patio. An underground parking garage will accommodate 832 vehicles and 2,256 bicycles. Between the two buildings is a landscaped courtyard that serves as the primary access point to all of the residential lobbies and the childcare. Together with seating areas and its function as a mid-block connection between Barclay Street and Ted Northe Lane, this welcoming space enourages social interactions for residents and visitors alike.
Situated in close proximity to Nelson Park, the liveliness of Robson Street and Davie Village, and the bustle of the Central Business District, Barclay x Thurlow is an appealing location for downtown, car-free living. Pick up groceries nearby at Marketplace IGA, or get fresh produce direct from the farmer at the West End Farmers Market every Saturday. For days when you’d rather have someone else do the cooking, endless dining options await along Robson, Granville, Davie, and Denman streets. Recreational options abound with swimming at the Vancouver Aquatic Centre; walking, jogging, or cycling along the seawall; paddling or sailing in English Bay; or golf and tennis at Stanely Park. A variety of entertainment and leisure venues are also withing walking distance — movies at Scotiabank Theatre, live music at the Commodore, performances at The Orpheum, Club 816 on Granville Street, or the Lions at BC Place. For activities outside of downtown, separated bike lanes, bus routes, and SkyTrain are all steps from your door.
