Central is a new presale condo in Vancouver South East False Creek neighbourhood by Onni Developments. Located between Main and Quebec Streets at 1618 Quebec Street on the site of the former Vancouver Jeep/Chrysler Dealership, this architecturally iconic condominium mixed use (housing and offices) development will be completely unique in Vancouver.
Central will feature a “SkyBlock” which will be a horizontal block oriented East West supported by two other tower blocks that will be oriented North South.(See Below). Expect the Western views of False Creek to be spectacular from both the "SkyBlock" and the upper sections of the Western support tower "Parkside Block". The views to False Creek will be protected by a park that is go in on the West side of Quebec Street to the North West of Central.
What are the Floor Plans like at Central in SE False Creek?
The majority of the suites in this condo pre sale will be 1 bedrooms which will be located in the middle of the towers with 2 bedroom suites corners of the blocks. The west or "Parkside" block has inexpensive 2 bedrooms from $520,000 from 800sf facing the East. The least expensive 1 bedroom at Central starting from $298900 will be the "A Plan" that doesn't include parking (Available for an extra $25k) and there are may be up to 28 of these suites. Penthouses will get rooftop terraces around 1300 square feet. (No floor plans for the penthouses at the time of writing) Units on the bottom of the "Skyblock" will get larger balconies.

How Much Will The Deposits be at Central in South East False?
The total deposit will be 25% with 5% upon acceptance of the offer, another 5% 60 days from the acceptance date, 5% 7 days from the developer getting the Building Permit, 5% 120 days from Building Permit, and a further 5% 240 days from Building Permit.

Central will not be air conditioned, BUT will have forced air cooling and heating that will be able to cool the air in the suites to as low as 20C at any time of the year (Its not technically air conditioning its "air cooling").
Expect smooth finished ceilings and no baseboard heaters. Flooring will be high end commercial grade laminate in the living areas. Illumination will be high end with recessed lighting and pot lights throughout with roller blinds instead of Venetian blinds which are quite common in new condos.
There will be a dark and light colour scheme for suites at Central SE False Creek. The standard counter top is non-porous non-staining solid composite counter tops and the upgrade will be a Honed Travertine Marble which will be used in the washroom as well. Do note, the upgraded counter tops are porous and delicate. The kitchens will have under mount sinks and a tile back splash as well as a gas cook top & oven, and fridge all from Jennair with LCD controls. Expect Kitchenaid for the high capacity 600cfm hood fan and microwave. The kitchens will also have a garburator and Kohler fixtures. The cabinets will not be particle board, but rather will be solid wood. In the washrooms expect dual flush toilets and frame less stand up showers.
Parking and Storage
All the suites except for the A floor plan will include parking and lockers will be an extra $3000. The residential and commercial parking garages will be separated.
Amenities & Maintenance Fees
Expect maintenance fees of $.38/square foot and a 7000 square foot amenity space in the Eastern support block as well as a gym over looking the park. on the top of the support blocks there will be common rooftop decks as well as a private dining hall and play ground.
When will Central by Onni be Completed?
Look for a tenative completion in early 2014.
