Passive House, Active Life
Coming soon to North Road and Gibsons Way, Driftwood is the first mixed-used Passive House project in Gibsons. Designed by Rafael Santa Ana Architecture Workshop, it consists of a collection of 1- to 3-bedroom homes featuring European-inspired, loft-style interiors that give the feeling of a single detached home. The exterior architecture evokes the natural landscape of the Sunshine Coast, with hues similar to those found on the local beaches, while the roof design plays on that of a First Nations longhouse. In contrast, the glass-enclosed street level cafe allows light to penetrate through the structure, lending an impression of the building hovering above ground.
More than just contemporary design, Driftwood Gibsons is a commitment to sustainable, community-minded living that places you within walking distance to all of life’s necessities, entertainments, indulgences, and charms. The benefits of Passive House building are numerous. They are quieter, draft-free, have consistent floor-to-ceiling air temperature, better air quality, reduced energy bills, and lower maintenance costs. At Driftwood Gibsons, enjoy the comforts of living in alignment with nature.
