Porte Proposes 109 Condominiums for Grandview-Woodland Land Assembly

Porte Homes is proposing to redevelop eight single-family homes on the 2400 block of Garden Drive into two 6-storey buildings Designed by Integra Architecture and built over two levels of underground parking, unit sizes range from studios to three bedrooms. The north building will be entirely residential with a total of 59 condominiums. The south building proposes a combination of ground floor retail fronting Broadway and 50 residential suites.

Guided by the Grandview-Woodland Community Plan, this project is part of the transformation surrounding the Nanaimo Street and East Broadway intersection. The intent for future development is to increase the supply of family-friendly housing and enhance local-servicing retail.

Floor Plans for Garden Drive
Homes range in size from an average of 500 – 1,223 sq ft. Both buildings have a combined unit mix of:

Parking and Storage
A 2-level underground parkade will provide 261 bicycle spaces and 118 vehicle stalls — 110 residential, 8 commercial, 4 accessible. Of these, 105 residential stalls and 1 commercial have a Level 2 EV charger. Short-term racks for 8 bikes are distributed along Broadway and Garden, while two loading are located off the lane.
