An Authentic West Coast Lifestyle
Highbury Investments and BÜRO47 architecture are proposing to build a 3-storey mixed-use building on a vacant lot at 2912 West 4th Avenue. Two ground floor commercial units are expressed by masonry facades with large windows and recessed entries framed by natural wood. These are bisected by a central residential lobby, acessible from the street or the lane, with steps up to the four 2-storey condominiums. The street-facing exterior of the residential floors is distinguished from the ground floor by contrasting near-white panels broken up by a pattern of reveal lines, thin metal framed windows, and two recessed balconies. This boutique project is especially noteworthy for its expansive private outdoor spaces for a distinctive emphasis on outdoor living.
