Celebrating Diversity, Culture, Community

PortLiving and Formosis Architecture are proposing a second arts-themed development on the Main Street corridor in Mount Pleasant two blocks north of their Main Street Arts project. Located at the corner of Main Street and East 4th Avenue, this 6-storey mixed-use building will feature 49 market condominiums, five street front retail units, and a 37-space childcare facility. A plaza at the southwest corner of the site provides social space for all those using the building. In addition to the vibrant colour accents on the exterior, a series of murals will animate the laneway.

Developer Team for Main Street Arts 2
Main Street Arts 2 was designed for PortLiving by Formosis Architecture (formerly Studio B Architects), a boutique Vancouver design firm with expertise in complex commercial, institutional, and mixed-use projects. For the past 20 years, the principals of Formosis have helped shape the landscape of sustainable architecture. Hands on, flexible design in a collaborative environment, well-honed listening skills, and careful site analysis make Formosis an ideal collaborator.

PortLiving was stablished in 2003 by Port Capital Group Inc., a Vancouver-based investment firm that began by focusing on developing pioneering projects in well-located, yet underserved and overlooked neighbourhoods. They strive to create working and living environments that are sustainable, practical, and serve to strengthen the city’s identity through good design and thoughtful intent.
