Celebrating Diversity, Culture, Community

Coming soon to Mount Pleasant, Main Street Arts is a 6-storey, mixed-use concrete building by The Jim Pattison Group. Built over three levels of underground parking, the ground level offers commercial space for small-format store fronts, a fitness centre, professional services, a café, or restaurant. A “Heritage Alley” on the south side of the building provides patio space, a mid-block connector to the lane, and an interpretive wall highlighting Mount Pleasant history. The remainig floors offer a mix of condominiums ranging from studios to family-size 3-bedroom suites. There are also three 2-bedroom townhomes at the northeast corner of the building facing 6th Avenue. Resident amenities are located on the rooftop, including a multi-function room, an outdoor dining area, and a childrens’ play space.

Home of the Vancouver Mural Festival, Mount Pleasant’s South Main neighbourhood is a vibrant and colourful community with multi-cultural restaurants, independent shops, and popular craft breweries. As a very walkable and bikeable location with multiple bus routes and a future SkyTrain station just steps away, Main Street Arts is ideal for car-free living. For your day-to-day shopping needs, Kingsgate Mall and Nesters Market are at Kingsway & Broadway. The Mt. Pleasant Farmers Market is a weekly fixture on Guelph Street. Jonathan Rogers Park and Guelph Park are two nearby green spaces that feature open lawns, community gardens, and food trucks. To keep fit, the Mount Pleasant Community Centre at 8th Avenue offers a gymnasium, fitness centre, and dance studio. For paddlers, hop in a dragon boat, kayak, or outrigger at the Creekside Paddling Centre near Science World, where you can also take to the False Creek seawall for a stroll, jog, or cycle.
