Queens on King George is a Dawson + Sawyer master-planned community located on a 36.3-acre site in Surrey’s Newton district. The development includes 21 six-storey, woodframe buildings containing a total of 3,478 homes, comprising studios to 3-bedrooms in a mix of condominiums and townhomes.

The contemporary building exteriors designed by local firm, Barnett Dembek Architects, present angular shapes capped with flat roofs or decks. Façades are clad in brick, fibre-cement siding, and aluminum composite panels in a muted palette of black, white, and grey.

Residents will have use of over 65,000 sq ft of indoor amenities that include lounges and meeting rooms in each building. Two 3-storey amenity hubs have a half basketball court, fitness room, games lounge, kitchen, and co-working areas. One building will also provide space for a 75-seat daycare.

Over 180,000 sq ft of outdoor resident amenities are mostly spread across building courtyards, featuring patio seating, dining areas, lawns, and children’s play areas. At the centre of the Queens community will be a 1.4-acre public park, while a 2.3-acre riparian area along the east property line will have a public pathway connecting the elementary and secondary schools.

What Amenities does Queens on King George have?

Homeowners will have access to over 65,000 sq ft of total indoor amenity space. Each building will include at least 797 sq ft of interior common space with features such as kitchens, dining areas, lounges, and meeting rooms.

In addition to the individual building amenities, there are two 3-storey amenity hubs of approximately 17,977 sq ft — one in Building 3 shared between residents of Lots 1, 2, and 3; the second in Building 6 shared between residents of Lots 4, 5 and 6.

The two amenity hubs comprise a half basketball court and a fitness room on the ground floor; a kitchen, lounge, and games area on Level 2; and work spaces, meeting rooms, and seating areas on the third floor.

Within a mixed-use building on Lot 4, will be a child care facility for up to 75 children from 30 months to school age. It will include a kitchen, nap room, seating area, play/activity space, individual cubbies, and a dedicated outdoor play area.
