Seaview Community School is adjacent to the site and Port Moody Secondary School is only 1 kilometre away. A new 2-way bike lane connecting Angela Drive and Cecile Drive to St. Johns Street, will improve safe access to City Centre, Rocky Point Park, and the Shoreline Trail. Four bus stops on Cecile Drive offer service with 15-minute intervals to Moody Centre Station — linking to SkyTrain and the West Coast Express.

    A generous south-facing courtyard formed by Umbra’s U-shaped building is characterized by concentric layers of amenity spaces — multi-aged play and gathering spaces at the centre, a pedestrian pathway encircling the courtyard, and private townhome patios at the perimeter. At the south end of the courtyard will be a street-oriented plaza with a public art piece. To the west and north sides of Umbra, the townhouse patios connect to the multi-use trail along the forested area that connects to the rest of Portwood.

    Parking and Storage
    Two levels of underground parking will provide stalls for 249 resident and 24 visitor vehicles, including 7 accessible spaces. It will also accommodate 352 bicycles with a bike repair station and five shared e-bikes for rent. Two Modo carshare vehicles with EV chargers will be available on Cecile Drive, along with existing street parking along Angela Drive and Cecile Drive.
