Amenities at Umbra

Umbra residents will be able to keep in top shape with a 1,000-sq-ft gym. For celebrations or to catch a game on the big screen, 2,700 sq ft of lounge space provides the ideal venue. There is also a co-working space and a connected kids’ playroom.

A generous south-facing courtyard formed by Umbra’s U-shaped building is characterized by concentric layers of amenity spaces — multi-aged play and gathering spaces at the centre, a pedestrian pathway encircling the courtyard, and private townhome patios at the perimeter. At the south end of the courtyard will be a street-oriented plaza with a public art piece. To the west and north sides of Umbra, the townhouse patios connect to the multi-use trail along the forested area that connects to the rest of Portwood.

Parking and Storage
Two levels of underground parking will provide stalls for 249 resident and 24 visitor vehicles, including 7 accessible spaces. It will also accommodate a car wash, 352 bicycles with a bike repair station, and five shared e-bikes for rent. Residents enjoy a free Modo carshare membership. Two Modo carshare vehicles with EV chargers will be available on Cecile Drive, in addition to existing street parking along Angela Drive and Cecile Drive.
