Killarney, as the name suggests, was established by Irish immigrants, today Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Carribean and Filipino citizens live in this multicultural neighbourhood. Located on the southeast of Vancouver with boundaries of East 41st Avenue to the north, East 54th Avenue to the south, Victoria/Argyle to the west and Boundary Road to the east. Many of the older single-family homes and heritage properties are 1920s farmhouses. New townhouse developments coming soon to Killarney include Avalon Mews built on the old Avalon Farm heritage property.
