Years ago we were looking for our first home in Vancouver, feeling lost and confused, a mutual friend recommended we talk to Mike and discuss our possibilities. We were the typical nervous, inexperienced and overwhelmed first time buyers.

When we decided to sell out apartment we spoke to a few realtors first to decide which to choose. The thing that made Mike stand out from the rest was that he immediately highlighted the fact that the patio should be emphasized as a strong selling point – suggesting that we should stage it with furniture and barbecue etc. so that potential future buyers could imagine themselves enjoying and making full use of it. I was impressed with this because it was the patio that had attracted us when we purchased the property. All the other realtors we spoke to didn’t mention the patio at all as a selling point, but Mike did strongly. Mike Stewart is an excellent realtor. In my mind there are a few important differences between Mike, and the rest of the Realtors I have met. First, despite his busy schedule he always seems to have enough time to help you out with some small detail. Two, Mike has an excellent phone call turn around time, if you don’t get him the first time, you will usually get a call back within an hour. Third, when you work with Mike Stewart at Century 21, you work with Mike, he doesn’t pass you off to junior realtors. If you get his name then you get his experience. I think Mike is an excellent choice for first time buyers like me, with all the resources he brings to the table. Having said that, I know I will continue to use him down the road for second and third purchases because of his professionalism, his knowledge, and the aforementioned reasons.

We first met Mike at an open house that we attended as we began our search for a home in Yaletown that met the needs of our growing family. Cognizant of both our budget and stringent requirements, he arranged a number of appointments and took us to numerous open houses before we finally settled on a unit that seemed perfect for us. To make a long story short, we purchased a unit that was 400 square feet larger than our previous residence for less money than we obtained from the sale of our condo.
