Surrey is divided into six separate communities: Cloverdale, Fleetwood, Guildford, Newton, South Surrey, and Whalley.  Single Family dwellings were the norm but since the 1980’s and the advent of rapid transit there has been an influx of multi-family dwellings.   There is a healthy mix of Detached homes, townhouses along with some other residential homes.  Many areas in Surrey are covered by agriculture farmlands.
