Andrew Peller presents Westport Village, a mixed-use, master-planned community on the 3.53-acre site of the company’s former Andrés Wines facility in Moody Centre.

The property will be redeveloped in two phases. The first phase will consist of 31-storey residential tower with 263 condominiums and 16 market rental apartments; a 4-storey arts centre with a new theatre, offices, and childcare; and a 3-storey artist village comprising 10 live-work units for artists.

The second phase encompasses a 21-storey apartment highrise, a 12-storey tower with seniors housing, and a 6-storey mid-rise with a medical clinic and a potential hotel.

The Phase 1 highrise will offer a variety of condo floorplans ranging from studios to 3-bedrooms, with interiors from 378 – 1,244 sq ft. A 4-level underground parkade will accommodate 490 vehicles and 494 bicycles.

Situated at the western gateway to Port Moody, Westport Village is designed to be an inter-generational community — from a childcare facility for the young to mixed-tenure housing and seniors care facilities.

Embracing Port Moody’s goal of becoming “The City of the Arts”, Westport Village also features an Arts Centre and Artist Village with exhibition, performance, and live-work spaces to support artists.

The community centrepiece at Westport Village is The Commons, a large plaza that is designed to be utilized for a broad range of activities and special events, including concerts, markets, exhibitions, and festivals.

Secondary public spaces include a courtyard in an Artist Mews, a plaza between the condo tower and the Westport Arts Centre, and an outdoor seating area for a restaurant or pub that may include a recreational amenity.

On the western portion of the site is the Schoolhouse Creek protection area, which will undergo extensive restoration and enhancement with observation areas and a pedestrian bridge across the creek.

Other community amenities are a daycare, a senior’s centre, an athletic club, and an arts centre with a 350-seat theatre. In addition, there will be light industrial space, retail units that include a supermarket, office space, and a boutique hotel.

The strata condominium building will offer residents use of a fitness centre, a lounge with billiards tables, a rooftop party room, along with a surrounding terrace that features social spaces and community garden planters.
