An Austin Heights Landmark
Beedie Living is proposing to construct two residential condominium towers flanking the Austin Heights Safeway store that is currently under construction on Austin Avenue. The 26-storey and 27-storey towers will be integrated into the supermarket and share a common underground parkade. Designed by Chris Dikeakos Architects, the landmark towers will offer a family-friendly mix of 356 condominium residences and over 30,000 sq ft of amenity space with a variety of programming to satisfy the diverse needs of residents. Part of the development proposal includes 10 units of non-market rental housing to support persons with disabilities. The site will be redeveloped in two phases with the Safeway completed in the summer of 2019, followed by the towers.
