Park Village Redevelopment Coming to Brighouse
Grand Long Holdings and Park Village Investments have proposed replacing the strip mall at 8071-8091 Park Road with a mixed-use development encompassing three stepped towers of up to 16 storeys. Designed by W.T. Leung Architects, two of the towers will contain 318 market condominiums and 21 affordable rental apartments. The third tower will provide 58,600 sq ft of office space and, in the podium, 43,800 sq ft of restaurant and retail space. A north-south walkway will provide a public connection to the buildings, while at the south side of the property will be a 4,000 sq ft plaza. This property is one of a number of developments in the Brighouse Village neighbourhood, including the massive transformation of CF Richmond Centre and the adjacent proposal for 6700 No. 3 Road.

A parkade will accommodate 618 vehicle parking stalls – including 343 for residents, 191 for commercial, and 84 for office – six medium truck loading spaces, and secure storage lockers for 491 bicycles. Two car-share spaces will also be included and all residential parking will have electric vehicle charging outlets. Short-term bicycle stalls for visitors will be 34 for residents and 10 for commercial tenants.

Leung has been providing urban design, architecture, and interior design services in the Greater Vancouver area since 1985. They have a diverse range of experience, including government buildings, office and retail developments, hotels, shopping centres, high-rise and low-rise residential and mixed use developments, master planning for residential communities, schools and recreational facilities.
